Honed

This is one step beyond the smooth finish. A less abrasive material is used leaving a very smooth, non-shiny surface that is buffed (Bedface or Veine).

Polished

This is one step beyond the honed finish. A very non-abrasive material is used leaving a beautiful, smooth, and shiny surface (Bedface or Veine).

Filled

A material similar to caulk or drywall filler is applied to the surface and fills the small, natural voids in the stone’s surface. This is most often used with the polished finish (Bedface or Veine).

          Handfaced (below)

Stone is shaped by hand with a chisel creating a shaped, rounded surface (Veine only).
